Welcome to Arizona Skies Meteorites® Pulp Art section! Here you will find fine original paintings of the pulp art genre. Pulp magazines (often referred to as just "Pulps") were inexpensive adventure magazines that were published on cheap wood pulp paper from the 1896 to the 1950's. Many respected writers wrote for pulps, and the magazines were best known for their lurid, exploitative, and sensational subject matter. Many of the pulps were men's adventure magazines often featuring scantly clad damsels in need of rescue. The original art used for these pulp magazines was created by some of the top artists of the day. Surviving original pieces are quite rare and command substantial premiums at auction houses such as Heritage. Pulp art has become extremely popular over the past decade and makes a facinating and historically important collectible. At Arizona Skies Meteorites® we specialize in providing high grade collectibles to museums, educators and private collectors around the world. We hope you enjoy browsing through our website and we look forward to serving you.
