Manfred von Richthofen

Nicknamed the Red Baron, he flew aircraft painted mostly all red. The Fokker Triplane shown here was the result of the German High Command requesting that a triplane be developed to compete with the famous and successful British Sopwith triplane. Richthofen achieved 19 of his last victories in this aircraft.
