Amazing, hard to find original Nicolas Trudgian painting! This oil on canvas painting is a wonderful depiction of two WW2 Spitfires peeling off to engage the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain. Above a wild "fur ball" plays out leaving the characteristic contorted contrails.
Painting is signed on the back by four WWII Eagle Squadron Spitfire pilots: John Brown 121 Squadron, John Campbell 121 Squadron, Art Roscoe 71 Squadron and Gene B. Fetrow 121 Squadron.
As you already know if you have been looking for an original Trudgian painting, they typically are in the $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 price range which is well out of reach for most of us! This superb, original Trudgian painting is very reasonably priced and may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to add a signed, original Nicolas Trudgian oil painting to your collection. It would obviously make a truly fantastic gift for any WW2 Veteran or Veteran's family member, especially for those that flew the Supermarine Spitfire.
