This beautiful, pre-historic specimen is from a mature Siberian wooly mammoth, the last individuals of which became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene approximately 10,000 years ago. Complete Mammoth tusks of this quality are exceptionally rare and it is virtually impossible to purchase one. We were very fortunate in being able to obtain this spectacular specimen from north eastern Siberia. This superb tusk has had minimal restoration and is in better condition than many of the tusks seen in the world's Museums. It weighs an incredible 134 pounds and is 13.29 feet in length (measured along the outer curvature)! It measures 6.16 feet across from the tip to the base of the root, and at is largest girth it measures an enormous 18 inches in circumference! This tusk has an incredible compound curvature and coloration and is one of the most aesthetic, sculptural pieces of natural art that you will ever find!
