The USS Constitution was a famous 44 gun heavy frigate which was launched by the US Navy in 1797. It was nick named "Old Ironsides" because of cannon shot bounced off her thick oak siding. The USS Constitution was involved in a number of naval engagement and is still seaworthy today.
