WWII Era Liberty Ship:
The WWII era Liberty Ship was a mass produced Cargo ship which was critical in the winning of the War. It was a British design which was mass produced in U.S. ship yards under the lend-lease program. The Liberty ships helped Britain to counter the large number of merchant ships being sunk by German U-Boat Wolf packs in the North Atlantic. The Liberty ship was the most produced ship design of the War, with 2,751 Liberty ships being built between 1941 and 1945.
