With out a doubt, the hollow long bones from Dromaeosaurs are amongst the rarest fossils you will find! Because raptor bones are hollow, they are easily crushed. Usually all that is found are the end pieces. We believe this superb theropod fossil is the Ulna (forearm bone) from a medium size raptor (Dromaeosaur). It dates to the late Cretaceous, and was found in the Hell Creek formation in eastern Montana. This bone is hollow and was found in two pieces which fit neatly back together with absolutely No Restoration required. It measures 5.75 inches in length (straight-line measurement), and is in an amazing state of preservation! You virtually never complete theropod long bones of any kind, let alone of this quality. It is a beautiful, complete ulna, and as are all of our USA fossils, it was found on private ranch land with the owner's permission. Fossils from the Hell Creek formation are amongst the most sought after types of all dinosaur fossils. This lovely ulna is about as good as you can get, and would make a fabulous addition to any private or museum collection.
