The Pterosaurs ("winged lizards") are one of the most recognizable and popular groups of extinct reptiles. Their members ranged in size from that of a robin to the size of a medium sized aircraft with a 40 foot wingspan, and included the largest creatures to have ever flown! The Pterosaurs were an incredibly diverse group, with some of the most bizarre looking creatures that have ever existed. We have some lovely Pterosaur fossils from northwestern Africa.
