This is either a Nanotyrannus or very large Dromaeosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous. It was found in the famous Hell Creek formation in eastern Montana on private land with the owner's permission. It measures over 1.5 inches in length (straight-line measurement), and has an almost premaxillary shape. It has absolutely No Restoration! There is a moderate degree of plant root etching on this specimen (white colored lines). Fossils from the Hell Creek formation are amongst the most sought after types of all dinosaur fossils. This tooth is a large, well preserved Nanotyrannus or Dromaeosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous.
