This is a Nanotyrannus tooth from the late Cretaceous. It was found in the famous Hell Creek formation in eastern Montana on private land with the owner's permission. It measures over 2 inches in length (straight-line measurement)! It is in a wonderful state of preservation with absolutely No Restoration! You can even see the natural grain of the enamel on this tooth. The serrations on the interior edge are present, and there is light feeding wear on the exterior edge. The is some light plant root etching on one side. Fossils from the Hell Creek formation are amongst the most sought after types of all dinosaur fossils. This tooth is a large, well preserved Nanotyrannus tooth from the late Cretaceous.
