It has the most brilliant etch patterns imaginable, and the photos don't begin to do it justice. When you move it the light areas become dark and the dark areas light-just like a hologram! Not all Seymchan etch the same. Some have a rather dull etch pattern, and a few have a truly fantastic etch pattern. This is one of the latter group. You really will not believe how brilliant the Windmanstattern pattern is on this piece until you see it in person. Seymchan is one of the most stable iron meteorites. Seymchan is extremely difficult to cut, even with the finest equipment. This superb specimen has been polished and etched on one side to reveal the natural Windmanstatten patterns.
