Spectacular New L3.5 Chondrite



NWA 2785. This is a spectacular, new Chondrite from the Sahara desert has been officially classified as an L3.5. It is full of beautiful, multicolored chondrules, armored chondrules and clasts of all sizes. A number of slices of this meteorite have unique chondrules, filled with amazing bright green olivine crystals! Some slices have large metalic spherules also! You can search the entire internet and you won't find another L3.5 even remotely comparable! NWA 2785 has a high degree of heteorgeneity in chondrule size, and has a shock level of S2 and a weathering level of 2. This meteorite was a single individual weighing 264 grams before cutting, so there is very little of this gorgeous meteorite to go around.
