Superb, 74 gram main mass from the newly classified L5, shock darkened, NWA 2363 chondrite! This beautiful end-cut has been expertly prepared and is absolutely beautiful with an amazing shock darkened black matrix! This meteorite has incredible, fresh fusion crust and has been provisionally classified as a shock darkened, L5 chondrite, shock level S3-5, weathering W1, with Fa=25.7 & Fs=21.3. The total known weight of this meteorite is only 120 grams, and after cutting losses and deposits for scientific study, only 96 grams are available to the public. This specimen is the largest mass of NWA 2363 available, and would make a fantastic addition to any type collection.
