Museum Quality, Vivianite Stained Baby Mammoth Tusk For Sale! This superb, pre-historic specimen is from a Baby Siberian Wooly Mammoth, the last individuals of which became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene approximately 10,000 years ago. This tusk has No Repair or Restoration and is in superb condition! It has been lightly sanded and then buffed to bring out its natural beauty. It measures 30 inches length along the outer curvature and is in better condition than many of the tusks seen in the world's Museums. This baby Mammoth tusk has the rare blue-green staining caused by the mineral Vivianite! Vivianite stained tusks are the most sought after by Collectors are are exretmely difficult to come by. There are some minor cracks which have been stablized, however other that that, we have left this tusk completely un-touched w/ the exception of sanding and buffing! This gorgeous specimen would make a fantastic addition to any Museum or Private collection! Please Note Display stand is not included w/ tusk. A custom display stand can be provided upon request.
