from Turvinskaya, Russia. This specimen has been cut
and polished on two sides, in a labor intensive process, to a gorgeous mirror-like finish. The rest of the meteorite is surrounded by the natural light brown crust affording the viewer the opportunity to see the wonderful contrast between the shiny, mirror-like interior and the lovely brown patina of the exterior crust.
